iMatchSkills SNAP Verification & Data Entry

DHS contracts with the Oregon Employment Department (OED) to use iMatchSkills to verify an individual’s SNAP status. Nightly, data is exchanged between the DHS client management system and OED. It matches records by social security number. iMatchSkills is used statewide by all STEP providers.

The attachments button provides instructions for verifying customer SNAP status and updating a customer’s iMatchSkills record when you provide STEP services.

If a customer is not receiving SNAP benefits, but might qualify, provider staff should refer the customer to DHS.  (http://www.oregon.gov/DHS/ASSISTANCE/FOOD-BENEFITS/Pages/Eligibility-Apply.aspx )

If a customer is not eligible for Career Boost services, provider staff should suggest other services in which the customer is eligible to participate and provide a warm hand-off to relevant service providers.
