Program Summary/Description

WorkSource Portland Metro (WSPM) is the region’s primary gateway for workforce development services accessible to the public. Funded through Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) investments, and bolstered by a variety of other public funding sources, WorkSource Portland Metro offers services at no cost, with the goal of assisting our customers with finding meaningful employment. These services include:

  • Job search assistance
  • Job coaching
  • Resume review
  • Interview practice
  • Job referrals
  • Resource referrals
  • Training opportunities and scholarships
  • Employment and training-related workshops

WorkSource Portland Metro services are offered through 5 WorkSource Centers located throughout Multnomah and Washington Counties:

Workshops

WorkSource Oregon Standards require that WorkSource Centers throughout the state offer a standard slate of workshops for customers geared toward searching and preparing for employment. Standard workshops offered at each WSPM center are listed below:

  • Career Exploration
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Job Search Strategies
  • Social Media for Job Search (available as an online offering through WSPM)
  • Resume Workshop (offered online by OED)
  • Interview Workshop (offered online by OED)

Additional workshops covering an array of topics are offered by individual centers. Dates, times, and delivery method (in-person or online) vary by center. Customers can search for workshops, and sign up via their MyWorkSource account, or staff can sign them up through I-Trac.
