Occupational Training & Child Care (OTCC)

WorkSource Portland Metro participants enrolled in Occupational Skills Training or Work Experience as defined by WSPM may be eligible for Child Care supports prior to, during, and shortly after their training.

Providers & Referrals

OTCC Support Services are provided by Community Action Organization (CAO) in Washington County & Mount Hood Community College (MHCC) CCR&R in Multnomah County.

Eligibilty

OTCC is provided to participants that are currently or soon to be enrolled in an Occupational Training or Work Experience.

  • Participants must be 18 years old or older
  • Participants must be enrolled in WSPM, EOP or Next Gen
  • Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an occupational skills training or work experience (see below for examples)

When should I submit a referral?

At least 4 – 6 weeks before training start if possible.

Even if a participant has a childcare provider, it can still take some time to get the payment agreement between Child Care Resource & Referral to set up an agreement.
