Washington County EOP

Program Summary/Description

The Washington County EOP is a suite of services exclusively for residents of Washington County and is built on the career coaching model. The program systemically ties long-term, relationship-based career coaching for workforce preparation and training to employment resources delivered through WSPM and focused on career planning and job search assistance. As a project of the EOP, the Washington County EOP follows all EOP Regional Program Standards.

In PY24 beginning July 1, 2024, Career Coaches can refer customers for paid work opportunities designed to connect work-ready customers with entry-level positions in targeted industries or programs. Paid work opportunities are available in the following areas:

  • Child Care/Preschool – If interested in entry-level childcare or preschool positions in Multnomah and Washington Counties, customers can submit an interest form here. Please note: State of Oregon licensing regulations require individuals over the age of 18 to enroll in the State’s Central Background Registry prior to placement in a child care facility.
  • Here for Portland – A limited number of entry-level restaurant/retail positions will be available at the beginning of PY24. If working with customers interested in these positions, submit an interest form here. Customers must meet PDX ARPA eligibility requirements.
